A Moment At Sunset.

Drawn in lavender hearts,circled in sugary dreams,
Your precious mentality sinking in the waves of insanity,
I go to hold you under this sun, the sky the colour of watery tea,
Our last moment together before the night settles in.

And when the night is coming, I feel honey tongue-tied beside you,
Sticky with the desire to affront your psyche; to drench you
In the confection of pomegranate pink sunset, slashed with
Candy-apple-red, and drown you in this sailor’s delicious delight.

Shadows lick over soft white skin, the untasteful taint unseen within,
Held in wonderment, eyes linger as light and life retreat,
Crimson our hearts shudder softly with each passing moment,
Raging in rainbow emotions greyed with lying tongues and greedy hands.

Rip not the stays from this corset of lust that binds us to our hearts;
Lest shades of antique-lace cream and forgotten mildew green
Are all that remain beneath the façade of the sun setting
Over our heads which bow into one another, seeking love and finding death.
