Literature Text

I trusted you,
and you rusted my heart shut.

I dreamt of you,
and you were the nightmare I never remembered.

I felt you,
and knew your heart pulsed under my hand.

I held you,
and knew your smell as if it was the end.

I took you home,
and fed you drugs to make sure you didn't struggle.

I fell asleep,
lying there in your arms on the couch.

I drove you out,
and put you where I thought you would be free to swim in dreams.

I drowned here, Now I'm the lady of the lake,
I drowned in pain, in fear, in a slow choking moment trapped here.

I whispered to you,
Hoping that you heard my apologises.

I now whisper in your mind, haunting you,
telling you that I am lonely.. So cold.. So lonely.. So cold..

I now know you are just like my heart, lying there.
So Lonely.. so cold.. lonely.. cold..
Written for prompt a days prompt: lady of the lake.. i really wanted to try and do something different with it then the merlin reference.. so instead it became a psychopath poem..
