Painful Moments.

I'm happy to just sit at a table with old friends,
While people fall in love around me,
Smiling through the loneliness I feel.

I'm happy to just fall in a bed by myself,
While other people glide together into theirs,
Sleeping through the emptiness I feel.

I'm happy to just eat popcorn in a movie by myself,
While people around holding hands whisper about the plot,
Silent in the darkness all alone.

Always I am alone, always silent, smiling or sleeping..
They drag me under, these stubborn moments,
Stillness in the dark slowly drawing me down,
Without a hand to hold I will always descend.
